Gwen talks about her pregnancy

Elle February 2007 IssueElle February 2007 IssueStaying healthy, whether by doing pilates, yoga, or some other exercise is very important. In the February 2007 issue of Elle magazine, Gwen Stefani talks about the difficulty of being pregnant with her son while out on tour. She stated that she thought it would be a lot easier than it was. To the contrary, Gwen soon realized that even a perfectly successful pregnancy takes a physical toll on the body. The overload of hormones can make you act more emotional than you normally are. This sometimes is countered with prescription medicines, but it is not advised if avoidable.

Gwen said, "I would be seriously crying before I went onstage. I didn't know how I was going to get through the tour, putting on nine costume changes on a stage in front of 12,000 people every night. And I didn't want people to know that I was pregnant. I didn't want to become the Gwen Freak Circus Show – 'Watch it grow onstage.' " This is where the pilates and yoga came into play.

After the pregnancy, Gwen smiled and said, "Kingston is so chill. He goes with me everywhere, 'cause I'm still nursing. He's been to every studio in L.A., New York, London. He lives up to his name – total Rasta boy. He gives me real balance. You can go 100 miles an hour, but you still have to stop to hang out with him," she cheerfully said.

Sounds like things are going well. So well, in fact, that Gwen has sparked rumors that she is ready for her second child.
